TV presenter and actor Oleksii Sukhanov shared his thoughts on the closure of the show 'Govoryt Ukraina', his attitude toward Russia, and the challenges of wartime. The artist emphasized that for him, the Russian state is forever wiped off the world map, and the Ukrainian language has become a matter of principle. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine (Юлія Гаюк), according to the portal PromPolitInform.
The closure of the social project ‘Govoryt Ukraina’, to which Sukhanov dedicated 11 years of professional activity, became a serious personal blow for him. Despite criticism from officials and certain religious circles, the presenter emphasizes that he is proud of the tangible results of helping the program’s guests and considers this period an important part of his life.
In the context of the full-scale invasion, the actor has completely severed ties with the aggressor country, which he considers incapable of democratic development. Instead, he links his future exclusively to Ukraine, emphasizing that mastering the state language became for him not only a requirement of the times but also a matter of personal dignity and respect for the society in which he lives.
Creative transformations and personal stance
Soon, viewers will see Sukhanov in the role of a scribe in the series ‘The Adventures of Cossack Vyhovsky’. The actor himself calls this experience a breath of fresh air, which allowed him to try his hand at the ironic adventure genre. The actor notes that working in film became a means of shifting focus amid constant stress.
