Issuing the document will cost citizens between 1147 and 1787 hryvnias
The State Migration Service of Ukraine has released the current rates for issuing foreign passports in 2026. The cost of producing the document depends on the urgency of the administrative service provided. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from the State Migration Service of Ukraine.
Obtaining a passport of a citizen of Ukraine for travel abroad at State Migration Service units involves paying an administrative fee, which consists of the cost of the service itself and the price of the blank. It should be noted that these rates apply exclusively to migration service departments and do not extend to consular institutions, where the procedure involves paying a consular fee.
For citizens wishing to receive the document in the standard manner within 20 working days, the total fee is 1147 hryvnias. This amount includes 352 hryvnias for the administrative service and 795 hryvnias for the passport blank.
Cost of urgent issuance
In case of a need for expedited processing, which takes 7 working days, the total payment increases to 1787 hryvnias. The cost of the blank remains unchanged at 795 hryvnias, while the fee for the administrative service increases to 992 hryvnias.
A similar rate of 1787 hryvnias is set for urgent issuance carried out within 3 working days in cases provided for by the current legislation of Ukraine. The payment structure in this case is also distributed as 992 hryvnias for the service and 795 hryvnias for the production of the blank.
Document submission procedure
You can submit an application for a passport directly at territorial units of the State Migration Service, through Administrative Service Centres (TsNAP), or through the Pasportnyi Servis network. For persons who have reached the age of 14, personal submission of documents is required.
During their visit to the unit, applicants undergo a fingerprint scanning procedure. For children, this rule becomes mandatory from the age of 12. The institution also verifies personal data, in particular the correctness of the transliteration of the surname and first name, which is confirmed by the person’s signature on the application form.
Important warnings
The State Migration Service reminds that during air raid alerts, the provision of administrative services at all agency units is temporarily suspended. Citizens are advised to consider this factor when planning their visit to territorial bodies.
In addition, residents of temporarily occupied territories can contact service representatives for advisory assistance via WhatsApp at +38 (096) 033-24-42. Electronic queue registration remains available to all categories of applicants on the institution’s official resources.
