The starting price for the industrial site in the Ternopil region was 29.8 million UAH
The auction for the property complex of Berezheny Glass Factory, scheduled for September 4, did not take place due to a lack of bidders. The assets were offered for sale for the first time with a starting price of 29.8 million UAH. This was reported by Liga.Business citing Prozorro.Sale, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
The lot included production buildings with a total area of over 12,600 square meters, as well as a 9-hectare land plot located in the city of Berezheny, Ternopil region. The absence of registered participants led to the auction being declared void.
The legal proceedings regarding the company’s insolvency began in January 2010. In September 2011, the Commercial Court of Ternopil Region officially declared the factory bankrupt, initiating the liquidation process.
Production in Berezheny began in 1961, when the company became part of the Ukrbudmaterialy corporation. At its peak, the factory produced nearly 500 types of glassware and lighting components, maintaining partnerships with suppliers such as the Cherkasy Azot plant and the Crimean Soda Plant.
Products were exported to numerous countries, including Germany, Bulgaria, Moldova, and Latvia. By 2021, local authorities considered plans to revive production, but the manufacturing project remained unrealized.
