The government has simplified the possibility for agricultural producers to demine their land at the expense of the state. This, AgroTimes informs, is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine. The PromPolitInform portal reports.

Also, the right to cover the costs of humanitarian demining was granted to business companies whose shares are 100% owned by the state and which use state-owned land plots.

“An extremely important point of the decision is the simplification of the demining process for farmers. Previously, they still had to open escrow accounts in banks, to which funds were credited to pay for the cost of demining work. From now on, this will be carried out by the Humanitarian Demining Center. And farmers will only need to submit an appropriate application,” said Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture Ihor Bezkaravayny.

At the same time, budget funds transferred to escrow accounts by December 31, 2025 can still be used in accordance with the previously signed agreement.

The State Program “Humanitarian Demining” provides for full coverage of demining of agricultural lands. Agricultural producers whose plots have been confirmed by the Humanitarian Demining Center can participate in the program. They must also meet a number of requirements:

not be under NSDC sanctions;

not have citizens of the aggressor state among their ultimate owners;

not be in the process of bankruptcy, liquidation or termination of activities;

not be associated with a certified PMD operator with whom a contract has been concluded.

An application for participation in the program can be submitted only through the State Agrarian Register (DAR).

Recall that the average cost of demining agricultural lands has increased to 67.2 thousand UAH/ha.
