The President expects the removal of speed restrictions on terminal equipment by SpaceX
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio promised to revisit the issue of Starlink terminal speed restrictions in Ukraine within 48 to 72 hours. The Ukrainian leader made this statement during an online address at the Hudson Institute in Washington. This was reported by Ukrinform, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
The Head of State emphasized that satellite communication speeds are currently capped at 161 kilometers per hour, which equals 100 miles per hour. According to him, inspections conducted across various frontline directions confirmed the limits remain active day and night.

«I had a good conversation with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and he said he would return to this issue within 48–72 hours», Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted. The President expressed hope for swift decisions from the American administration and SpaceX.
Additionally, the Ukrainian side expects to hold another meeting with American negotiators during the week. Discussions include potential localized ceasefires if Russia rejects a full and unconditional cessation of hostilities.
Localized Ceasefire Initiatives
«If Russia does not want a full unconditional ceasefire across the entire territory between our two countries, let’s start with an energy ceasefire or a ceasefire at sea, because this is important for food security, as well as with a prisoner exchange», the President said.
Ukraine is also prepared to discuss sensitive territorial topics, although such issues require negotiations at the leadership level.
