International parcels that are not received by the recipient abroad—previously costing between $30 and $100—will no longer be charged.
All international parcels that are not received by the recipient abroad are returned to the sender in Ukraine free of charge. This was announced on the Ukrposhta website, according to PromPolitInform.
The decision applies to everyone who sends parcels abroad and eliminates one of the most common financial risks associated with international shipments.
“This applies to all typical situations that occur with international delivery: the recipient fails to pick up the parcel, refuses to accept it, or the delivery fails for reasons beyond their control,” Ukrposhta explained.
In such cases, the parcel either finds its recipient or is returned to the owner at no additional cost.
