The work of the defense department of Ukraine will be adapted to the current war plan. The main goal of the transformation is to turn the Ministry of Defense from a bureaucratic body into an institution that really forms a strategy of military action, said Defense Minister Mikhail Fedorov, quoted by Ukrinform, informs the PromPolitInform portal.
According to the head of the Ministry of Defense, in the coming month, the department will switch to the Objects and Key Results system (goals and key results), which will set ambitious tasks and clearly measure their implementation. All projects will be transferred to the JIRA management system, and data-driven management (data-based management) will be introduced for decision-making.
Fedorov stressed that he wants innovative solutions (similar to the introduction of Starlink or the strengthening of air defense) to become a weekly practice. According to him, the new structure takes into account NATO standards and is the foundation for systemic results in the future. He also announced a further update to the team in the coming weeks.
Mikhail Fedorov headed the defense department on January 14 after supporting his candidacy by 277 people’s deputies.
On February 24, Fedorov said that the Ministry of Defense was developing a plan to force Russia to peace.
On February 23, Fedorov announced a comprehensive mobilization reform.
