Ukraine won three more medals at the Paralympics – 2026. Taras Rad and Iryna Bui won silver, and Oleksandr Kononov – bronze

Taras Rad won silver in the Paralympics 2026 biathlon sprint. Irina Bui came second, and Alexander Kononov – third in the women’s sprint pursuit competition.

In the race in the class sitting Ukrainian Taras Rad lost to the representative of Kazakhstan Erbol Khamitov 59.5 seconds, informs the portal PromPolitInform.

This is Rad’s third medal – he became the champion in the sprint race and took the victorious third place in the individual race in the sitting class.

Ukrainian women took a double podium in the women’s sprint pursuit at the Paralympics.

Irina Bui came second, less than 18 seconds behind the leader of the competition from Canada. And Alexander Kononov took third place. They competed in a class for athletes with hand disorders.

In the same race, Ukrainian Lyudmila Lyashenko and Bogdana Konashuk took 6th and 7th places.

In total, Ukraine already has 14 medals at the Paralympics 2026:3 gold, 5 silver and 6 bronze.

The 2026 Winter Paralympic Games are held from March 6 to 15 in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo.

Recently, the President of the National Paralympic Committee of Ukraine Valery Sushkevich said that at the Paralympics-2026, the national symbols were taken away from the Ukrainian family.
