Defense AI Center “A1” is launched in Ukraine to accelerate the introduction of artificial intelligence in the military sphere.
This was announced by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Mikhail Fedorov, informs the portal PromPolitInform.
As part of the initiative, the Ministry of Defense is creating a system of centers of competence for military technologies. In the near future, separate units will appear for key areas of modern warfare, in particular for the development of drones, Middle Strike, Deep Strike, artillery and other areas.
The task of the centers is to constantly analyze the battlefield, technologies and determine the next steps of development. In a technological war, the one who goes through the cycle of innovation faster wins.
The first such center is Defense AI Center “A1,” which we are implementing with the support of the UK government.
The main tasks of the center:
- analysis of combat data;
- forecasting the actions of the enemy;
- development of autonomous systems;
- new management tools.
The center will help to quickly turn combat experience and data from the front into technological solutions and accelerate the introduction of innovations in the troops.
AI solutions will become part of every domain of modern warfare – from intelligence to management. Our task is to create the most effective defense system in Europe. This is a new generation AI-driven army based on the speed of innovation, autonomous systems and network superiority.
