Ukraine, together with NATO, launched the first competition within the UNITE program – BRAVE NATO, which provides for the creation of joint defense solutions between Ukrainian companies and companies of the Alliance.
This was announced by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Mikhail Fedorov, informs the portal PromPolitInform.
This is a new format of cooperation, where companies from Ukraine and NATO countries combine technologies to create a common product for the Ukrainian battlefield.
The first stage is the creation of B2B partnerships between companies from Ukraine and NATO countries.
From Ukraine, the program is coordinated by the Brave1 cluster of defense innovations. For effective interaction, the corresponding functionality was created on the Brave1 portal, available after registration and verification.
The theme of the first competition is countering enemy UAVs and air defense means:
active protection systems against FPV drones;
countering Shahed-class drones;
electronic intelligence amplification (SIGINT) and electromagnetic technologies;
development of autonomous guidance systems;
platforms for high altitude flights.
The budget of the first competition is 10 million euros. Up to 1 million euros for each joint project, with a limit of up to 500 thousand euros. The winners will be announced in the summer of 2026.
