The government, together with the Verkhovna Rada, is discussing the introduction of three key changes to the state budget for the current year. This includes an increase in revenue by almost 2.3 trillion hryvnias thanks to the reparations loan from the EU, an increase in expenditures by 1.6 trillion hryvnias, and a reduction in the budget deficit by more than 650 billion hryvnias. It is noted that the total budget resource for defense should increase to 4.3 trillion UAH, which is the largest amount in the entire history of Ukraine.
It is planned to increase the financing of cash support for military personnel by almost 173 billion UAH. Another 1.37 trillion UAH is planned to be allocated to the development of weapons and military equipment. Separately, almost 15 billion UAH is proposed to be allocated to form a reserve for the security and defense sector.
In addition, 40 billion UAH are planned to be allocated to the implementation of comprehensive regional resilience plans, and another 40 billion UAH to replenish the Reserve Fund.
