Damage and fires were recorded in all areas of the capital, among the wounded – children. In total, there are already two dead in the capital.
On the night of May 24, Russia carried out a massive combined attack on Kyiv with the use of strike drones and missiles: as a result of shelling in the capital, two people were killed, another 56 were injured.
This was сannounced by the mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko, informs the portal PromPolitInform.
According to him, 30 wounded are in hospitals of city hospitals, among them – two children. Three victims are in serious condition, another 16 people were treated on an outpatient basis. So far, more than 40 locations across the city have been damaged.
“It was a terrible night for Kyiv… Now rescuers are extinguishing fires, dismantling rubble. Doctors provide assistance to the victims,” Klitschko wrote.
Shevchenkovsky district: the mall burned down, schools and residential buildings burned down
One of the most serious consequences of the attack was recorded in the Shevchenkovsky district. Lukyanovskaya metro station noted significant damage and is currently not working. Lukyanovsky market destroyed by 80%. SEC “Square” is also destroyed – only structures remain from it.
In the Shevchenko district, drones and debris damaged two residential buildings, an office center and parked cars. In one of the 9-storey buildings there was a hit between the 8th and 9th floors.
There were also fires on the territory of two schools. Near one of them, debris covered the entrance to the shelter, where at that time there were people.
In addition, rescuers eliminated the fire on the gas pipe between residential buildings.
It was in the Shevchenkovsky district that one dead as a result of the attack was recorded.
Obolon: fires in high-rise buildings and the private sector
In the Obolonsky district, UAVs hit a 16-story residential building – a fire broke out at the level of 12-13 floors.
Also, the drone hit a private one-story house. Another fire occurred after the fall of the UAV near a three-story residential building – the fire spread to residential buildings.
In addition, in the area recorded a hit in a non-residential building.
Solomensky and Pechersky districts: strikes on skyscrapers
In the Solomensky district, a drone hit a 24-story residential building. The fire broke out at the level of 23 floors, the structures were partially destroyed.
In the Pechersky district, the UAV entered a 20-story residential building on the 13th floor level. There was also a fire.
Darnitsky, Dnieper and Desnyansky districts
In the Darnitsky district, debris from drones and missiles damaged a hostel, warehouses, service stations and cars near residential buildings.
Also in the district, a hit was recorded in warehouses and non-residential buildings.
In the Dnieper district, a drone hit a private residential building, which caused a fire. Debris also fell on the roof of a residential building, a warehouse building and the territory of a garage cooperative.
In the Desnyansky district, the wreckage of the UAV hit the buildings of a supermarket and a shopping center.
Other areas of the capital
In the Goloseevsky district, the wreckage of the rocket fell on the roof of a 24-story residential building.
In the Svyatoshinsky district, the wreckage of the rocket damaged a private residential building.
In the Podolsky district, debris fell on the territory of non-residential development.
The Lukyanovskaya metro station is closed after a massive shelling of the Russian Federation: there is damage.
The city authorities reported that damage as a result of the attack was recorded in virtually all districts of Kyiv.
