The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court has selected preventive measures for an official of the State Border Service of Ukraine and an accomplice businessman, who were caught extorting one million dollars in bribes. This was reported by the press service of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, Zn,ua reports. The PromPolitInform portal informs.
In particular, the State Border Service official was sent to custody with the option of posting four million hryvnias of bail.
The entrepreneur was selected as a preventive measure in the form of detention with the option of 44.262 million hryvnias of bail.
As a reminder, NABU and SAPO exposed a border guard official and an entrepreneur in extorting a bribe from the winner of a tender for the supply of UAVs. The investigation established that in August 2025, one of the military units of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine held a tender for the purchase of a batch of drones. An official of the Border Guard Service Administration adjusted the terms of the procurement in such a way as to ensure the victory of his accomplice’s company.
Despite the accomplices’ plans, another company joined the tender, offering a more advantageous offer, according to which the total cost of the drones decreased to UAH 760 million. After that, the owner of the competing company, in collusion with the border guards, began to extort a bribe from the winner.
