Systemic strikes by the Defense Forces of Ukraine disabled 42.74% of the total design oil refining capacity of the aggressor country, Russia. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook on Saturday, July 4. The PromPolitInform portal informs.

Ukraine successfully attacked eight Russian oil refineries, disabling 42.74% of the total design oil refining capacity of the aggressor. In addition, it managed to critically damage or eliminate more than 60 RVCs (tanks), of which 58% are with oil products, and 42% are with crude oil.

Economic impact of Ukraine’s strikes on Russia:

Since August 2025, the total losses of the oil refining industry have reached 13.5 billion US dollars;

fuel crisis;

reduction in production;

repair deadlines are constantly postponed due to the inability to obtain the necessary spare parts and equipment.

As reported, on the night of July 4, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the port oil infrastructure in St. Petersburg, Russia, and also hit Kronstadt.
