Kyivstar was allowed to buy the GigaCloud provider, it serves Diya

The deal has been officially approved, but Kyivstar was imposed a condition

The Antimonopoly Committee allowed Kyivstar to acquire the cloud services provider GigaCloud. But it imposed a requirement to maintain fair competition. RBC-Ukraine reports this with reference to the decision of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU). The PromPolitInform portal informs.

What condition did the AMCU impose

According to the AMCU decision, Kyivstar cannot impose its telecom services on the provider’s customers.

Users will be able to freely purchase GigaCloud cloud services as an independent service, regardless of whose Internet they use.

The committee will monitor the fulfillment of these conditions through Kyivstar’s annual reporting.
