In Crimea and Sevastopol on the night of July 12, the sounds of drones flying, shooting and explosions were heard, local Telegram channels, as well as the Russian authorities, reported. This is reported by Krym.Realii, the PromPolitInform portal informs.
In particular, the Russian mayor of the city Mikhail Razvozhaev reported an air alert in Sevastopol at 0:37. The alert lasted until 3:36. During this time, according to Razvozhaev, the Russian air defense allegedly shot down 4 UAVs in the area of the Northern Side and the Balaklava district. He did not provide any confirmation of his statements, and it is difficult to verify them using alternative sources in wartime.
The Russian Emergencies Ministry in Crimea also reported on the danger from drones. According to the Telegram channel “Crimean Wind” with reference to subscribers, explosions were heard in Simferopol and its surroundings, near Bakhchisaray, as well as in the Kerch Peninsula area. After the attack, a fire was observed in the Kamysh-Burun port in Kerch. At the same time, after the explosions, power outages were reported in a number of cities and districts of the Crimean Peninsula.
Russian media also write about problems with electricity, referring to the Krymenergo enterprise. According to their data, the power was turned off in Armyansk, Dzhankoy and Dzhankoy districts, Krasnoperekopsk and the district, as well as in Nizhny Novgorod and Chornomorsk districts. In addition, additional restrictions on electricity supply have been introduced in Simferopol, Yalta, Sudak, Yevpatoria, Saki, as well as in Simferopol, Bakhchisarai and Saki districts.
The Russian military and the Crimean authorities did not report on the alleged strikes.
