Ukraine can produce interceptor missiles for Patriot air defense systems faster and better than the American developer of these missiles, Lockheed. This was stated by American Republican Congressman Michael McCaul, the PromPolitInform portal reports with reference to “Sospilne”.
“I think the Ukrainians can do it [produce missiles for Patriot] faster, and maybe even better. So Lockheed has something to learn from the Ukrainians regarding their own interceptors – how to improve them, how to produce them faster,” the congressman said.
American defense companies, including Lockheed Martin, may support the transfer of the right to Ukraine to independently produce Patriot missiles after Trump’s statement about his readiness to provide Kyiv with a license to produce these systems.
“I believe that this is in their interests for many reasons. If the president wants this to be done, it is in their interests to carry out his will,” the congressman said.
According to McCaul, the Ukrainian military informed him about domestic developments of drones, as well as about the successes of the Defense Forces in liberating territories occupied by Russia.
