russia has recalled its diplomatic representative from London amid growing tensions in relations with the United Kingdom. The Kremlin explains this move as a disagreement with British policy regarding the provision of assistance to Ukraine. This was reported by The Guardian, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of russia has officially announced the recall of its ambassador to the United Kingdom. The diplomatic demarche occurred due to the position of official London, which continues to support Ukraine’s defensive capabilities and actively assist the Armed Forces of Ukraine in countering aggression.
Diplomatic pressure as a tool of russian foreign policy
Moscow is attempting to increase pressure on Western countries that supply weapons for front-line needs. The russian foreign policy department views the actions of the United Kingdom as direct interference in the conflict, which leads to a further decrease in the level of diplomatic contact.
Currently, the Kremlin authorities are using the recall of ambassadors as a method of demonstrating dissatisfaction with sanction policies and the military aid provided by allies. Similar decisions have previously been taken regarding other states that demonstrate decisive support for the sovereignty of Ukraine.
