Finnish President Alexander Stubb has called Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil refineries and logistics centers a sound military strategy. According to him, this increases the cost of the war for Russia and is a necessary condition for starting negotiations. This was reported by Ukrinform, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
According to Alexander Stubb, to successfully end hostilities, partners must increase support for Ukraine, which will allow for more effective targeting of objectives within the aggressor state’s territory. This involves expanding capabilities to deploy both unmanned aerial vehicles and long-range missiles.
Strategic impact on Russian society
The Finnish President noted that attacks on infrastructure, particularly logistics hubs, directly affect the sentiments of Russian citizens. According to his assessment, the number of people in the RF supporting the end of hostilities is increasing due to these ZSU operations.
“This increases the cost and price of the war for Russia,” Stubb stated during a press conference in Kyiv. He also emphasized that such pressure is the only effective mechanism for compelling the Russian leadership to engage in meaningful peace talks.
Beyond the military aspect, the Finnish leader highlighted the critical financial situation for Ukraine caused by the full-scale aggression. He emphasized the need to find additional solutions to ensure the stability of the Ukrainian economy.
