As of August 24, 2026, fuel prices in Ukraine have been updated, with the cost of petrol and diesel remaining unchanged compared to the previous day. The average price per litre of A-95 petrol is 78.77 UAH, while diesel fuel costs 92.31 UAH.
This was reported by Glavcom, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
The highest fuel prices are currently recorded in Okko, WOG and Socar networks, while lower costs are offered by BRSM-Nafta and Ukrnafta filling stations. Experts emphasize that there is no fuel shortage on the market, and current price fluctuations are driven by external and internal factors.
Reasons for fuel cost changes
Head of the Antimonopoly Committee Pavlo Kyrylenko explains the price growth by the shift to imported light petroleum products, the share of which exceeded 85% after the shutdown of the domestic oil refinery. In addition to global trends and the consequences of the war in the Middle East, the market is affected by Russian attacks on port infrastructure, which negatively impacts logistics.
At the same time, experts from the Razumkov Centre and the Association of Gas Traders of Ukraine draw attention to the high margin of operators and speculative sentiments, which increase pressure on consumers. According to the Antimonopoly Committee, the dynamics of retail prices at filling stations proved to be more moderate than the pace of import price increases in the period from the end of February to the end of March.
