Farmers from frontline regions have received 12 million UAH in compensation for purchasing Ukrainian agricultural machinery. Funds were paid to 20 enterprises based on applications submitted in June of this year. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
In June of this year, 20 farms purchased 26 units of domestic equipment for a total amount of 36.1 million UAH. The list of purchased machinery included grain throwers, cultivators, seed drills, sprayers, and other equipment manufactured in Ukraine.
The program provides for partial reimbursement of expenses for producers whose lands are located in combat zones or on de-occupied territories. For such enterprises, provided that 80% or more of their land bank is located in the specified zones, an increased compensation rate of 40% applies.
Support for farms in frontline territories
“Farms operating in territories where hostilities are or were taking place have more limited opportunities to invest their own funds in updating machinery,” noted Deputy Minister of Economy and Environmental Protection Vitalii Kindrativ.
The official added that this mechanism reduces financial pressure on farmers and creates additional demand for domestic machine builders. For other farmers who do not meet the conditions for the increased payment, the partial compensation for the cost of machinery is 25%.
Results of the program since 2024
Since the relaunch of the initiative in April 2024, the state has paid more than 3.2 billion UAH in compensation. During this time, more than 12,000 agricultural enterprises have purchased over 20,000 units of machinery for a total amount of nearly 15.5 billion UAH.
To receive funds, the equipment must contain at least 60% Ukrainian components. As of today, more than 15,600 product items from 172 manufacturers have been included in the official list through which payments are made.
