The operator was ordered to pay 170,000 UAH to the state budget within a month
The National Commission for the State Regulation of Electronic Communications, Radio Frequency Spectrum and the Provision of Postal Services (NKEK) has fined TELNET LLC 170,000 UAH. The sanction was applied due to the use of radio frequencies without the required license in Odesa Oblast. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from NCEC.
The Commission reached this decision following an unscheduled audit of the operator’s activities conducted in May 2026. Inspectors discovered that the company was utilizing the radio frequency spectrum in the 2382 MHz band for broadband access without obtaining the necessary permits.
The violation was recorded at a facility located in the Berezivka district of Odesa Oblast, specifically at a water tower in the village of Makarove. These frequencies are part of the licensed 2355–2395 MHz spectrum, as provided for in government frequency allocation plans.
Details of the financial penalty
The regulator stated that it was impossible to determine the exact amount of revenue the company gained from the illegal operation of radio equipment. Consequently, a financial penalty amounting to 10,000 tax-free minimum incomes was applied to TELNET LLC.
In accordance with the decision, the Odesa-based enterprise is required to pay 170,000 UAH into the state budget. The funds must be transferred within 30 days of receiving the official notice from the commission.
Operator obligations and oversight
After making the payment using the specified budget classification code, the company must submit transaction confirmation to NKEK. The operator has three business days to do so following the expiration of the one-month payment deadline.
The Department of State Oversight, in cooperation with the regulator’s Legal Support Department, has been tasked with monitoring compliance with these requirements. The corresponding decision was signed by Acting Chairman of NKEK Ihor Kolesnyk.
