The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has completed the review of decisions on the designation of enterprises of the defense-industrial complex (DIC) as critical. This was reported by the ministry, the PromPolitInform portal reports.

As noted, as of September 1, 2026, 86% of defense industry enterprises that underwent the review confirmed their status as critical.

The review concerned decisions on the designation of enterprises as critical, adopted before July 7, 2026. A simplified procedure was in effect for most enterprises – without the need to resubmit a full package of documents.

In particular, it could be used by:

performers and co-performers of defense contracts in which defense activities account for more than 50% of the total production volume;

residents of Defence City;

individual manufacturers of explosives and ammunition;

enterprises of the defense industry, aircraft manufacturing and space industries, which previously received the status according to a set of criteria.

The Ministry of Defense said that to confirm the status, these enterprises submitted documents certifying the actual compliance with the criterion on the basis of which the Ministry of Defense previously determined them as critically important.

Enterprises that successfully passed the review retained the status of critically important and the ability to book military personnel in accordance with the legislation.
