Revenues to the state treasury increased by 21.4% compared to August of last year
In August 2026, the State Customs Service of Ukraine transferred 75.1 billion hryvnias to the state budget. Since the beginning of the year, the total volume of customs payments has exceeded 573.5 billion hryvnias. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from the State Customs Service of Ukraine.
Compared to the same month in 2025, revenue figures showed an increase of 13.3 billion hryvnias, equivalent to a 21.4% rise. These results were achieved despite a recorded 22% decrease in the volume of taxable imports.
During the customs clearance of goods, businesses were granted tax exemptions totaling 33.1 billion hryvnias. This amount of exemptions represents 44.1% of the total funds received by the state treasury during the reporting period.
Economic performance in August was negatively impacted by several external factors. Specifically, this includes the destruction of manufacturing facilities and goods, as well as the suspension of maritime logistics due to intensified Russian shelling of Ukrainian port infrastructure.
Despite challenging conditions for the economy, domestic companies continue to operate and meet their tax obligations to the state.
