In January-July, the country imported goods worth $66.3 billion
Ukraine’s trade turnover in January-August 2026 reached $92.9 billion. In eight months, the country imported goods worth $66.3 billion, and exported goods worth $26.6 billion. This, GMK Center informs, is evidenced by data from the State Customs Service. The PromPolitInform portal reports.
The countries from which the most goods were imported to Ukraine: China — $19.6 billion, Poland — $6.3 billion, Germany — $4.4 billion. At the same time, the most exported goods from Ukraine were to Poland — $3.2 billion, Turkey — $2.1 billion, Germany — $1.7 billion.
Of the total volume of goods imported in January-August 2026, 73% fell into the following categories:
machinery, equipment and transport — $29.9 billion;
fuel and energy products — $9.5 billion;
chemical industry products — $9 billion.
The top three most exported goods from Ukraine in eight months included:
food products — $15.4 billion;
metals and products made of them — $2.7 billion;
machinery, equipment and transport – $2.4 billion.
Recall that in 2025, Ukraine’s trade turnover amounted to $125.1 billion. Last year, the country imported goods worth $84.8 billion, and exported goods worth $40.3 billion. Taxed imports amounted to $64.3 billion (76% of the total volume of imported goods).
As reported, the State Statistics Service estimated the growth of real GDP of Ukraine in the II quarter by 0.6% compared to the same period last year. Compared to the previous quarter, taking into account the seasonal factor, real GDP grew by 0.4%.
