The commission has initiated public discussions on new rules and pricing methodology for cable networks
The National Commission for the State Regulation of Electronic Communications has approved draft resolutions on regulating tariffs for cable conduit services. Comments and suggestions on the documents will be accepted until October 20, 2026. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from NCEC.
The regulator released decision No. 464 dated October 7, 2026, which launched the process of approving an updated procedure and methodology for establishing maximum tariffs for the cable conduit market of electronic communications networks. The adoption of these regulatory acts is part of the agency’s planned activities for the current year and is being carried out taking into account the request from JSC Ukrtelecom.
Mechanisms of price regulation
The new draft resolutions define the rules for regulating tariffs for the provision of specific services in this sector. The documents were developed in accordance with the provisions of the Law of Ukraine On Electronic Communications and the Commission’s internal regulations, aimed at streamlining economic relations between market participants.
Public consultations
Until October 20, 2026, inclusive, the agency will collect proposals and comments on the submitted drafts from individuals, legal entities, and their associations. After the submission deadline, the Department of Economic Regulation is required to ensure that relevant consultations are conducted to take into account the interests of all parties.
