On Thursday, October 8, electricity consumption restrictions will be implemented throughout the day in parts of Ukraine. Outage schedules for the general public will affect between 0.5 and 1.5 “queues” (groups), according to Ukrenergo, as reported by the PromPolitInform portal.
Hourly electricity outage schedules will apply to household consumers. Similarly, industrial enterprises in a number of Ukrainian regions will operate under power restrictions.
The restrictions are caused by Russia’s ongoing armed aggression, involving systematic drone and missile attacks on energy generation and transmission facilities.
Energy sector specialists note that the state of the power grid can change rapidly. Therefore, if a power outage occurs outside the scheduled times, consumers should check for the latest information on the official websites of their regional power distribution companies (Oblenergos).
