EU extends sanctions against Russia over destabilisation abroad until October 2027

Restrictive measures on listed entities and individuals will apply for twelve more months

The Council of the European Union has extended individual restrictive measures against those responsible for Russia's destabilising activities abroad. The sanctions will remain in place for another year, until 9 October 2027. This was reported by Ukrinform citing Council of the European Union, according to the portal PromPolitInform.

The adopted decision targets individuals and organisations involved in hybrid attacks and foreign destabilisation activities conducted by the Russian Federation.

The application period of these individual restrictions has been prolonged by exactly twelve months from their prior expiry date.

Duration of restrictive measures

Under the European institutions’ decision, the measures will stay in force at least until 9 October 2027.
