Parliamentarians are working to remove obstacles for entrepreneurs accessing state child support
The Verkhovna Rada is drafting legislative amendments that will enable individual entrepreneurs (FOPs) to receive financial aid under the "eYasli" program. Currently, these payments remain inaccessible to them due to regulatory requirements regarding full-time employment. This was reported by Minfin, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
At present, business representatives and those engaged in independent professional activities do not have access to this state support. Existing rules require confirmation of full-time employment, which fails to account for the specific nature of entrepreneurial activity.
Support amount under the program
The state program “eYasli” was launched on January 1, 2026. It is designed to support parents returning to work after their child reaches one year of age.
The monthly payment amount is 8,000 hryvnias per child. If the family is raising a child with a disability, the aid amount increases to 12,000 hryvnias per month.
Expected legislative changes
Parliament is considering options to adjust current norms to expand the pool of social aid recipients. The initiative’s goal is to ensure the ability to combine entrepreneurship with childcare.
At this stage, no final decision on implementing the changes has been made. Issues regarding the list of documents for FOPs, the mechanism for verifying their employment status, and the timeline for when new rules might take effect remain open.
