Restrictions will apply to both industrial and household consumers in several regions
On October 10, power consumption restriction schedules are being implemented across several regions of Ukraine for both industrial and residential consumers. These measures were prompted by the consequences of Russian attacks on energy infrastructure facilities. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing the Telegram channel of Ukrenergo.
The implemented restrictions involve power capacity limitation schedules for the commercial and industrial sectors throughout the day, from 00:00 to 23:59. For other categories of consumers, hourly blackout schedules will be in effect from 06:00 to 23:59.
During this period, the implementation of one to two outage tiers is planned. The official reason for these measures is damage to energy facilities resulting from the latest Russian missile and drone strikes.
Operational changes in the power grid
The situation within the energy grid remains dynamic, meaning that schedules may be adjusted based on operational conditions. Experts emphasize the need to monitor current information via official channels of regional distribution system operators.
Consumers are also urged to practice energy efficiency during periods when power is supplied according to the established schedule. This practice helps to reduce the overall load on the system.
