Over a hundred residential buildings damaged as a result of the strike on Pryluky
Joint visits by foreign diplomats to the sites of russian attacks have long ceased to be merely a protocol gesture of sympathy. The visit of British Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband together with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the destroyed city of Pryluky highlights the direct link between tragedies in the rear and the level of military-technical support from partners.
As reported by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the enemy missile strike on a residential apartment sector in Pryluky claimed the lives of 22 people, including five children. Another 54 residents sustained injuries of varying severity, which once again shifts the issue of protecting civil infrastructure from the realm of diplomatic statements to the realm of urgent deliveries of air defense systems.
Consequences of the missile strike in Pryluky
The scale of destruction in the city confirms the systematic nature of strikes on rear areas. According to data released by Volodymyr Zelenskyy, more than one hundred residential buildings, educational institutions, kindergartens, retail facilities, and critical infrastructure enterprises were damaged.
During a meeting with the affected citizens, the head of state instructed the head of the regional military administration to urgently relocate families and develop mechanisms for providing permanent housing. In turn, the head of the State Emergency Service was tasked with ensuring that citizens have access to their property in the damaged building, provided that engineering safety is observed.
Over 40 defense agreements between Kyiv and London
International contacts of this level are not limited to inspecting the damage — they are accompanied by the deepening of industrial cooperation designed to counter such attacks. It is noteworthy that simultaneously with the visit of British officials, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine announced the opening of a specialized office, Kyiv Business Centre, in Kyiv.
According to the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, this hub is intended to overcome logistical and regulatory barriers for small and medium-sized British weapons manufacturers. The project is being implemented with the participation of the UK’s Defence Equipment and Support, with operational management assigned to Audere Group in partnership with AMS Global Solutions and Hillmont Partners.
As reported by the Ukrainian defense ministry, more than 40 major security agreements are already in effect between companies of the two states. Furthermore, the United Kingdom was the first to officially join the Avengers Labs platform, which focuses on training artificial intelligence for drones using combat experience. Thus, London’s political presence in the destroyed cities is synchronized with the pragmatic deployment of a defense-industrial base directly within Ukraine.
