Schedules for businesses and residential consumers will apply in several regions
Due to the consequences of enemy attacks on energy infrastructure, electricity supply restrictions will be in effect in certain regions of Ukraine on October 11. The measures will affect both industrial enterprises and residential consumers. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing the Telegram channel of Ukrenergo.
According to the energy authorities, the country’s power system will operate under capacity deficit conditions on Friday, October 11. These emergency steps are a direct result of regular missile and drone strikes conducted by russian forces against energy infrastructure facilities.
For industrial consumers and businesses, power restriction schedules will be in effect during the evening hours, from 3:00 PM to 11:59 PM. For the general public and other consumer categories, rolling blackout schedules will be implemented from 4:00 PM to 11:59 PM.
Energy supply restriction parameters
The planned measures involve the application of 0.5 to 1.5 stages of outages. This differentiation helps to balance the power system when current generating capacities are unable to cover peak demand.
It is important to note that the situation remains dynamic. In the event of new damage to critical infrastructure caused by russian shelling, the schedules may be adjusted. Up-to-date information regarding specific outage addresses should be checked on the resources of distribution system operators, known as oblenergo.
Energy officials emphasize the need for electricity conservation during periods when power is provided according to the schedule. This contributes to the stability of the power grid and helps minimize the need for longer outages for both households and industries.
