A fire has been recorded at the 03110 air defense military unit located in the Sirius federal territory near Sochi. The incident was confirmed by satellite imagery data. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing the Telegram channel of Crimean Wind.
The blaze at the Russian army facility occurred following reports from local residents about explosions heard around midnight. The military unit 03110 is stationed in this area, near the Psou River and the border with Abkhazia.
Military equipment at the site
According to preliminary information, Russian S-300 or S-400 surface-to-air missile systems are deployed at the base. Official Russian authorities have not yet provided comments regarding the causes of the incident or the status of the weaponry at the location.
Circumstances of the event
Local residents reported hearing explosions around midnight. Satellite monitoring data visually confirms the fire at the location where the occupation forces’ air defense units are stationed.
