In Luhansk, priests sell “protective amulets” to Russian invaders

The church offers anti-plague ointments and charms against drones

In temporarily occupied Luhansk, clergy members have begun selling religious items to Russian military personnel. The assortment includes items allegedly capable of protecting users from combat drones and infectious diseases. This was reported by Ukrinform citing the Telegram channel of Mariupol.Sprotyv, according to the portal PromPolitInform.

At the St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in the city, visitors are offered a wide range of items that, according to advertisements, possess supernatural properties. In addition to standard crosses and bracelets, church officials are selling rings designed to supposedly provide protection against enemy unmanned aerial vehicles.

Goods for the occupying forces

A special offering at the local church is a so-called “wonder ointment against the plague,” priced at 500 rubles. According to the circulated promotional flyers, the main ingredient of the remedy is cedar resin, which sellers claim is capable of warding off infections and strengthening the spirit.

The context of the disease outbreak

The appearance of such items in Luhansk coincides with reports of a dangerous disease outbreak in Russia. In early October, a death was recorded in the Irkutsk region among employees of the Irkutsk Anti-Plague Institute, who were suspected of having the pneumonic form of the plague.
