The Deputy Head of Communications discussed safety during energy shortages
Due to regular Russian strikes on energy infrastructure and subsequent blackouts, consumers in Ukraine are increasingly using autonomous power generators. Consequently, public awareness regarding safety protocols for such equipment has become essential. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing the Telegram channel of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
Oleksandr Khorunzhyi, Deputy Head of the Communications Department of the SES of Ukraine, addressed the safe operation of power-generating equipment during the “Ranok vdoma” program on the “DIM” TV channel. According to him, following specific guidelines is critical to avoiding hazardous situations that may occur while using alternative power sources.
Safety during power deficits
The rescue service representative emphasized that during the autumn-winter period, generators have become a part of everyday life for many Ukrainians due to persistent attacks by the russian federation on energy facilities. Operating such equipment requires strict attention to technical specifications and the designated location for installation.
The expert urged citizens not to disregard the recommendations provided by specialized services to prevent threats to life and property. Familiarization with operational rules remains the primary method for minimizing risks during energy outages.
