The 10-lesson program covers tactical algorithms before, during, and after a drone attack
A new training course titled 'Tactical FPV Countermeasures' has been launched in the Army+ mobile application. Developed for servicemen, the program aims to reduce strike risks and enhance operational safety during enemy drone attacks. The materials are already accessible in the application's dedicated section. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
The educational program focuses on real-world scenarios that Ukrainian military personnel encounter while executing combat missions. The core goal of the course is to train troops to identify threats early, avoid critical mistakes, and effectively camouflage positions and equipment.
The training is divided into ten distinct modules. Participants learn about FPV drone classifications, operational mechanics, target detection factors used by the enemy, and the proper use of protective gear and shelters.
Defense organization and medical aid
Special attention is given to tactical procedures during and immediately after an attack. The course outlines rules for safer movement on foot and in vehicles, as well as methods for using small arms against drones and alerting unit members to incoming threats.
Additionally, the curriculum covers combat first aid, casualty evacuation procedures from target zones, and safety measures for handling unexploded enemy drones.
Course developers and additional modules
The training module was created by the non-governmental organization ‘Magura’ in cooperation with Defense Forces of Ukraine experts who possess practical combat experience in counter-FPV operations.
The course is available under the ‘Training’ section of the Army+ app. Users can also access other military training materials, including courses on drone-based air defense, electronic warfare fundamentals, fiber-optic drone basics, and real-time UAV tracking tools.
