The 12th Special Forces Brigade of the National Guard “Azov” conducted an operation to clean up the village of Zolotoy Kolodez, Donetsk region. The press service of the brigade reported this on February 6 on Facebook, informs the portal l PromPolitInform.

The brigade said that 18 Russian soldiers fell into Ukrainian captivity in one day. Abandoned occupants for months sat in the “basements and burrows” of this village in the Dobropil direction, the report said.

To finally eliminate the enemy resistance, the fighters of the interbat of the 12th Azov Brigade took up the cleansing.

The brigade published a video in which a military man with the call sign Beretta and the captured Russians themselves spoke about these events.

  • On October 9, 2025, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, informed that the Ukrainian military was conducting the Dobropil counteroffensive operation and liberated 180.8 km ² the territory of Donetsk region.
  • At the end of November, the DShV was informed of the completion of the operation in the Dobropolsky direction. This made it possible to restrain Russia’s plans for a breakthrough in Barvenkovo and stabilize the situation around Pokrovsk.
  • In early December, the Ukrainian General Staff stated that Dobropillya was under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
