The Air Force ironically reacted to the publication of the “secret international squadron F-16.”
Yuri Ignat said that Ukrainian pilots without “Hollywood stories” demonstrate the result of shooting down missiles and drones.
Air Force spokesman Yuri Ignat sarcastically commented on the publication of the French edition of Intelligence Online, which alleged the creation of a “secret F-16 squadron” in Ukraine with the participation of Ukrainian, American and Dutch pilots, informs the portal PromPolitInform.
According to the media, this “international squadron” allegedly already protects the sky over Kyiv, and veteran pilots shoot down Russian cruise missiles and drones.
“Yeah! And headed the squadron – Tom Cruise,” – ironically wrote Ignat.
At the same time, he stressed that Ukrainian pilots on Western aircraft and without fictional stories demonstrate effectiveness in combat work.
“This morning, most of the cruise missiles are on their account,” the spokesman said.
Ignat also promised to separately analyze the activities of the publication that disseminated the information, and drew attention to the reaction of Russian resources, which, according to him, “stubbornly do not want to believe in the success of Ukrainian pilots and the development of the aviation component of the Air Force.”
Note that on the night of February 17, Russia launched 400 attack drones for 29 missiles on Ukraineage. Air defense shot down/suppressed 392 air targets: 20 air-launched cruise missiles Kh-101; 4 Iskander-K cruise missiles; 1 guided aircraft missile Kh-59/69; 367 enemy UAVs such as Shahed, Gerber, Italmas and other types of drones.
