Representatives of the Coalition of the Willing countries say they will send troops to Ukraine only after Russia’s approval. This was reported by The Telegraph, citing a source, as reported by NV. PromPolitInform reports.

According to the publication, an increasing number of members of the “Coalition of the Willing” privately admitted that their participation in the mission depended on the “permission” of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

Diplomatic and defense sources warned that this means the plan to maintain the ceasefire could be derailed by the Kremlin’s decision.

“If Russia says we don’t agree with this and consider these troops a target, then you need to send forces of a different kind. Therefore, Russia’s consent to this has a huge impact,” the diplomatic source said. A second diplomatic source suggested that European governments effectively granted Putin a veto over the coalition’s plans by demanding a seat at the negotiating table.

It should be noted that on February 24, on the fourth anniversary of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing was held in Kyiv. Thirty-six representatives from various countries participated in both offline and online formats. The meeting discussed aid to Ukraine and further pressure on Russia.
