Enterprises of the military-industrial complex received 108 concessional loans worth 6.665 billion UAH as part of the state program to support gunsmiths.
This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, which implements this program, informs the portal PromPolitInform.
Another 81 applications for UAH 6.320 billion are being processed.
Money is directed to the full cycle: from development and manufacture to repair and modernization of equipment, ammunition and their components.
According to Anna Gvozdiar, Advisor to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, concessional lending has become a tool for rapid scaling of defense production.
“We create conditions under which Ukrainian producers can plan development and invest in modernization without a critical financial burden,” she said.
The base rate of the bank cannot exceed 23% per annum. The state compensates the difference between the market rate and the preferential rate, so enterprises actually pay only 5% per annum. In addition, it is possible to attract state guarantees in accordance with government decisions.
Participation in the program can be taken by enterprises identified as critical for the functioning of the economy during a special period in the defense industry.
Funding is provided under a program introduced in 2024 to scale up the production of weapons and military equipment and modernize production facilities.
