Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced that the Cabinet of Ministers has approved amendments to the pilot project allowing critical infrastructure enterprises to be included in the state air defense system. Bukvy writes about this, as reported by the PromPolitInform portal.
Now, companies of any type have the right to create their own air defense groups to protect their assets.
According to the new regulations, the personnel of such groups will undergo mandatory training and certification at specialized institutions designated by the Ministry of Defense.
According to Svyrydenko, this will ensure a professional level of equipment operation. A transparent system for inventorying and accounting of air defense systems and ammunition is also being implemented to ensure their intended use.
An important part of the reform is the mechanism for the temporary transfer of weapons. The Ukrainian Air Force Command will be able to provide enterprises with air defense systems and ammunition not yet deployed by combat units. The decision on such transfer will be made on a case-by-case basis for each facility. In the event of combat use of ammunition, the replenishment procedure will be simplified as much as possible and will be carried out based on actual expenditure reports.
Yulia Svyrydenko emphasized that the entire process is integrated into the overall Ukrainian air defense system, and the management of such groups remains under the full control of the military command.
