The procedure for maintaining the digital register of military personnel has been approved: what will change

The procedure clearly defines the rules for forming, updating, storing and protecting data and the conditions for accessing them.

The Government of Ukraine has approved the procedure for maintaining the State Register of Military Personnel as a single digital source of data on military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Special Transport Service (SSTS). Dengi.ua reports this with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Defense, the PromPolitInform portal reports.

It is noted that the register will become the basis for an electronic military registration document, automation of accounting and faster access to social guarantees and services, in particular through Army+.

The ministry reported on what will change for military personnel and their family members after the launch of the register, namely:

Less paper procedures and repeated submission of the same documents and data about themselves.

Faster and easier access to social guarantees and digital services – primarily through Army+.

Higher level of personal data protection.

At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive:

A single, complete and verified source of data on the military.

Better management decisions thanks to up-to-date information.

More efficient use of time for authorized persons thanks to automation of processes.

In addition, for the state this means:

Harmonization of state information systems.

More transparency and accuracy of data.

More efficient use of state resources.

“The procedure clearly defines the rules for the formation, updating, storage and protection of data and the conditions for accessing them. Electronic interaction with other state registers is provided to ensure the accuracy, relevance and automation of data receipt – in particular, with the Unified State Demographic Register, the State Register of Civil Status Acts and the State Register of Individuals – Taxpayers,” the Ministry of Defense emphasized.

It was previously reported that the Verkhovna Rada adopted Law No. 13646, which strengthens the protection of social, labor and pension rights of military personnel, as well as members of their families during various types of military service.
