Ukraine has received certain signals on how to help civilians in the Middle East. American military personnel stationed in some countries also need assistance. This, True.ua reports, was reported by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who published a corresponding post on his Telegram channel. The PromPolitInform portal informs.
“Russia is helping the Iranian regime. We understand what has already been provided, although we do not know the volumes of what they are ready to transfer. The good thing is that the Iranian regime does not supply Russia with missiles and some other types of weapons that are used for attacks against Ukraine,” he noted.
According to him, at the same time, the focus is shifting to the Middle East. The Ukrainian president expressed hope that the war will not be long, not only because he is worried about Ukraine, but also because any losses are a tragedy.
“However, we do not see progress in the peace talks. If a sustainable peace or ceasefire is not achieved in the first days of the conflict, there is a great risk of its continuation. This will certainly affect the situation in Ukraine. Less attention means less support. Less support means less air defense,” Zelensky stated.
He noted that Ukraine had received certain signals on how to help civilians in the Middle East and how to help American military personnel deployed in some countries, and responded: “We will send experts and provide everything necessary for their protection.”
“A lot is being discussed in this dialogue. If we are talking about increasing resources, then we would very much like this to be an opportunity for both sides. We are talking about this track. It is too early to go into detail. Next week, when the experts will be on site, will look, will help — because they are leaving immediately with the capabilities to help — we will move on. We need to wait for the first results of the meetings,” Volodymyr Zelensky concluded.
Recall that earlier the Ukrainian president stated that the Russian and Iranian regimes exist thanks to each other. Therefore, the civilized world must jointly and coordinatedly confront such threats. Ukraine is ready to help in this process.
