Night tariff: will the price per kilowatt in Ukraine change from April 1

In March, most Ukrainians continue to pay for electricity at the tariff of 4.32 UAH/kWh.

According to the government’s decision, the PSO mechanism for electricity has been extended until April 30, 2026, which means that the price of a kilowatt of electricity in April will remain at the March level – 4.32 UAH per kWh, writes Dengi.ua. The PromPolitInform portal reports.

Also, for households using electric heating, the preferential price of a kilowatt will remain in effect:

if monthly consumption does not exceed 2 thousand kWh, the tariff will be 2.64 UAH per kWh;

if the established limit is exceeded, then the standard price will apply – 4.32 UAH per kWh.

At the same time, a number of Ukrainians will be able to save on electricity. These are those who install a special electric meter that counts the consumed electricity separately depending on the time of day.

A two-zone meter divides the day into two periods:

Day – from 7:00 to 23:00. The usual price for electricity is 4.32 UAH/kWh.

Night – from 23:00 to 7:00. The tariff is half as cheap – the payment is 50% of the standard one – 2.16 UAH/kWh.

A three-zone meter already has three different tariffs during the day:

Normal tariff: 07:00-08:00, 11:00-20:00 and 22:00-23:00 – 4.32 UAH/kWh.

The lowest tariff (coefficient 0.4): at night from 23:00 to 07:00 – 1.73 UAH/kWh.

The increased tariff (coefficient 1.5) operates during peak load hours: 08:00-11:00 and 20:00-22:00 – 6.48 UAH/kWh.

According to experts, the night tariff is especially beneficial for those who have electric heating or who regularly use energy-intensive electrical appliances at home. Such consumers can, for example, automatically turn on a washing machine at night, use a multicooker or bread maker. This allows you to significantly save on electricity costs.

Earlier it became known that the Cabinet of Ministers expanded the list of documents that representatives of co-owners of houses can provide in order to receive assistance under the government program “SvitloDIM”, which will significantly simplify and speed up the procedures.
