Ukrzaliznytsia: Intercity high-speed trains will not run between Kyiv and Kharkiv. You will have to make a transfer

A temporary restriction on the operation of Intercity trains Kyiv-Kharkov was introduced due to the situation with energy supply. Intercity services to Kharkiv are planned to resume at the end of March. This was reported by Public Broadcasting, the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia reported on March 18. The PromPolitInform portal reports.

“In recent weeks, due to energy supply restrictions, trains between Kharkiv and Poltava have been running with reserve diesel locomotives, which led to delays of up to three hours. On some days, arrivals took place after the start of the curfew,” the company said in a statement.

For the convenience of passengers and more timely arrivals, the schedules have been adjusted – connecting routes have been introduced. Currently, we have a temporary restriction on the operation of Intercity trains on the section to Poltava with connecting routes to Kharkiv in sleeping cars.

Ukrzaliznytsia added that Intercity services to Kharkiv are planned to be resumed at the end of March. Other routes to and from Kharkiv are operating without changes, the company reported.
