Trilateral negotiations to end the war in Ukraine have now been suspended. This was announced to the Russian media by the press secretary of the dictator of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.
“The tripartite group is on pause,” Peskov said.
The reasons for the stop in the Kremlin are not directly called, but they connect this with the current geopolitical situation. Peskov also said that despite the stop of the peace track, Putin’s special envoy Kirill Dmitriev allegedly continues to work within the bilateral group of the Russian Federation and the United States and his activities “are focused on investment and economic cooperation.”
Peskov also said that work on the process of exchange of prisoners and bodies of the victims continues.
On March 18, Zelensky announced a “bad feeling” about negotiations with the Russian Federation.
On March 15, it was reported that Zelensky wants to meet with Trump because of “stuck” issues at the team level.
