The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine introduced a simplified mechanism for the movement of military personnel between military units in order to reduce the time for consideration of letters of recommendation and reduce the number of approvals.
This was сreported by the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, informs the portal PromPolitInform.
According to the report, now the military can send a letter of recommendation directly to the unit where he wants to transfer, bypassing the lower-level commanders – compartments, platoons, companies and battalions. This will reduce subjective factors in decision-making and speed up the consideration of applications.
The General Staff stressed that the commander of the military unit is obliged to consider the letter of recommendation as soon as possible, and personnel decisions on the transfer must be made no later than 72 hours after receipt.
Earlier, in October 2025, the then Minister of Defense Denis Shmyhal reported that the Cabinet of Ministers decided to simplify the transfer of the military between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard. Then he noted: “We give the opportunity to submit an electronic report to change the place of service through the Army+ application. We are working on the next steps in simplifying and accelerating the transitions of military personnel between units.”
The new procedure is designed to make personnel processes more transparent and operational for all military personnel.
