“You won our hearts”: Ukrainian stars supported LELÉKA after Eurovision

Maria Burmaka, Serhiy Prytula, Tonya Khyzhnyak and others publicly reacted to the artist’s performance

After LELÉKA’s performance at Eurovision 2026, Ukrainian stars actively supported the singer on social networks. Artists, presenters and public figures thanked the representative of Ukraine for a worthy number and cultural diplomacy. This is reported by RBC-Ukraine, having collected posts from celebrities on social networks. The PromPolitInform portal informs.

Singer Maria Burmaka was one of the first to react to Victoria’s performance.

She called LELÉKA’s number brilliant and drew attention not only to the vocals, but also to the Ukrainian word, the bandura, and the emotional meaning of the composition.

“@leleka_music just performed at Eurovision. And it was a brilliant performance. On a single nerve, like a string, with an exquisite highest note, with a piercing idea and a Ukrainian word. With the dignity of Yaroslav Dzhus’s bandura. And with something so tremblingly sublime, such that embodies hope and faith in the best,” Burmaka wrote.

The singer added that it was in the context of the competition that she especially keenly felt the meaning of the song.

“For some reason, today, in the context of the competition, right now, I heard exactly this in this song. Bravo! Leleka, you have already won in our hearts,” she noted.

Maria also recalled the conditions in which Ukrainians watched the competition – during the air raid.

“I am writing this now, and an alarm siren is roaring outside the window. Our presenters have just said this. Europe and Eurofans can hardly imagine what kind of trash we are watching this contest in. And which country’s representative gave this hall her highest note. And said “Glory to Ukraine,” the artist wrote.

Serhiy Prytula also supported LELÉKA. He recalled the story of the Spanish Eurovision participant Manel Navarro, who took last place in 2017, but after returning home received powerful support from his people.

“Back in the days when I was leading the National Selection of Eurovision, at the contest in Kyiv, the representative of Spain – Manel Navarro, took the last, 26th place. 0 points from the jury, 5 points from the audience. Well, that is, a complete fiasco! And yes, he was then “harassed” for this defeat for a long time (but we must take into account that he is Catalan, so everything is not so clear),” wrote Prytula.

“But I emphasize that when Manel arrived in Barcelona, he was met at the airport by thousands of people with applause and support! And not “oh, God, he will not make it to the final” or “oh, God, he will not win/will not enter the top 10,” he added.

The volunteer also spoke out sharply against the harassment of the artist and thanked her for representing Ukraine on the international stage.

“Therefore, I categorically do not accept the harassment of a person who won the National Selection and worthily represented the country at Eurovision! The place is indifferent. The main thing is not to be ashamed! Thank you LELÉKA for pleasant emotions and for the highest level of cultural diplomacy! Good luck in the future!” – concluded the TV presenter.

Actress Tonya Khyzhnyak also emotionally supported LELÉKA. She emphasized that the artist coped with enormous pressure and responsibility.

“You are incredible, little bird! I can imagine the tension, responsibility, but you coped!!! You have a huge talent, I think the world will hear your incredible original songs, in which the Ukrainian soul sounds, more than once!!! Hugs!!!” – wrote Khyzhnyak.

TV presenter Volodymyr Ostapchuk congratulated Ukraine on the result at the contest. He reminded that Eurovision is not only a competition, but also a big show, emotions and unity.

“Congratulations to Ukraine on 9th place! As Stewart (Eurovision producer) told us before going on stage: “Vova, just imagine that you are hosting the biggest wedding in Europe”. This is fun, bright numbers and unity,” – wrote Ostapchuk.

Radio host Slava Demin also expressed his gratitude to the representative of Ukraine.

He briefly but eloquently thanked the artist for making Ukraine heard on the international stage.

“Thank you LELÉKA for making Ukraine heard at Eurovision,” Demin wrote.

As a reminder, LELÉKA represented Ukraine at Eurovision 2026 with the song “Ridnym”.

In the final of the competition, she took 9th place, receiving 221 points: 54 from the professional jury and 167 from the audience.

The winner of this year’s competition was Bulgaria’s representative Dara with the song “Bagaranga”. This is the first victory in the history of Eurovision for Bulgaria.
