Russian oil exports to Hungary and Slovakia via the Druzhba pipeline in May resumed to a normal level of 165 thousand barrels per day. This is reported by “Ekonomichna Pravda” with reference to Reuters. The PromPolitInform portal reports.

The report says that Slovakia and Hungary began receiving oil through the pipeline on April 23 after a several-month stop.

May was the first full month of oil supplies via this route after its resumption.

According to sources, in April Hungary and Slovakia received only 55 thousand barrels per day, as the route operated for only one week.

It is noted that although the pipeline is now unrestricted, May supplies were lower than the 200,000-235,000 barrels per day recorded before the shutdown, as countries began to diversify imports.

As reported, on April 21, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine had repaired the Druzhba pipeline, damaged by a Russian attack.
