JSC Ukrainian Defense Industry reported the dismissal of the heads of two state-owned enterprises after the explosions in the city of Vyshneve, Kyiv region. NV reports this with reference to the department’s message on Sunday, July 12. The PromPolitInform portal reports.
In particular, the heads of enterprises were dismissed for violating the requirements of the legislation and the rules for the safe storage of ammunition.
Other officials whose actions or inaction could have led to serious consequences were also dismissed, Ukroboronprom noted.
They emphasized that they are cooperating with the Security Service of Ukraine and other pre-trial investigation bodies, and that all those guilty, in addition to dismissal, will also bear criminal liability.
On July 9, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that a Ukroboronprom ammunition depot exploded in Vyshneve.
Detonation at Vyshneve warehouses is the main thing
During the massive Russian attack on Kyiv and Kyiv region on the night of July 6, a large-scale fire broke out in Vyshneve, Kyiv region, and a secondary detonation occurred on the territory of the warehouses. Nine people died.
As noted by the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, a preliminary survey showed that 253 private and 27 apartment buildings were damaged in Vyshneve.
